Colegiatura y Cuotas*

Aunque el Colegio de Estudios Bíblicos es una de las universidades cristianas con los precios más razonables de la nación, es posible que los ingresos de la colegiatura no cubran por completo el costo de la enseñanza. La diferencia entre lo que pagan los estudiantes y el costo total de su educación se cubre con las generosas donaciones de individuos, iglesias y organizaciones. Pedimos a nuestros estudiantes que se unan a nosotros en oración y alabanza por estos donadores. 

Las siguientes secciones enumeran los costos que un estudiante de CBS pudiera tener durante su tiempo en CBS.  

El Colegio de Estudios Bíblicos se reserva el derecho de cambiar la colegiatura, las cuotas y otros costos sin previo aviso.  

Todas las cuotas no son reembolsables a menos que se indique lo contrario.

Explicación de los Costos

Pago por Servicios Generales: Costo requerido cargado cada semestre para cubrir gastos asociados con la matriculación de un estudiante, tales como servicios tecnológicos y de administración 
Pago por Solicitud de Admisión: Requerido para toda persona que solicita admisión/readmisión (No reembolsable).
Pago por Estudio Independiente: Ayuda a compensar los costos adicionales de la instrucción individual.
Pago por Crédito por Competencia Demostrada (CDC): El Colegio valora un pago de procesamiento por cada vez que el estudiante presenta cursos por crédito CDC. 
Pago por Graduación: Requerido para todos los candidatos a graduación que terminan un titulo o certificado. Este monto es requerido de todos los estudiantes, aunque decidan no participar en la ceremonia y cubre los costos generales asociados con la graduación.
Pago por cheque devuelto: Requerido para todo estudiante por un cheque devuelto por su banco por fondos insuficientes (NSF). No serán aceptados los cheques personales de estudiantes con dos cheques sin fondos (NSF) escritos a CBS.
Pago por Transcripción Oficial: Los estudiantes pueden solicitar una transcripción oficial presentando un Formulario de Solicitud de Transcripción Oficial al Registrador junto con el monto de $ 10 pagable en efectivo, cheque o giro postal
Líderes Emergentes: Los estudiantes que reciben la beca de Líderes Emergentes pagan un monto cada semestre para ayudar a compensar el costo de sus libros.
Costo de Oyente a Crédito: Los estudiantes oyentes no reciben crédito académico. Un estudiante puede cambiar de Oyente a Crédito por el pago de las horas-crédito adicionales.

Registration is not completed for any course until the full amount is paid or a payment plan is executed. Students are responsible for knowing the status of their accounts at all times. Information is available online at my.cbshouston.edu (MyCBS), MyRecords, or through Student Accounts.

**This annual rate is for a traditional bachelor’s degree student enrolling in 12 credit hours each term (fall and spring). Fees includes the General Services Fee. Additional fees may be assessed for special circumstances where appropriate. Students living in Indiana would pay $9,000 for tuition for 24 credit hours; Indiana state aid is available for students who qualify, in addition to federal aid.


ADD/DROP, WITHDRAWALS, OR CHANGE BETWEEN AUDIT AND CREDIT POLICY
All students who add, drop, or withdraw from a class, change class sections, or change status between credit and audit must give official written notice. Forms for such changes are available by emailing registrar@cbshouston.edu.

NOTE: All new (non-returning) students may qualify to receive $500 off tuition for their first semester!

Financial Aid Information

Federal Financial Aid

Federal Loans: Student loans offered through government funding through the Department of Education. Federal student loans typically offer low interest rates and generous repayment terms.

Federal Grants: Federal grants offered through government funding through the Department of Education includes Federal Pell Grant and Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG).

State Financial Aid (Indiana Residents Only)
The Frank O’Bannon Grant, which includes the Higher Education Award and the Freedom of Choice Award, is Indiana’s primary need-based financial aid program. It is designed to provide access for Hoosier students to attend eligible public, private and proprietary colleges and universities. Eligibility is based on a student’s FAFSA, and the grant may be used toward tuition and regularly assessed fees.

Institutional Financial Aid:
Institutional aid scholarships are awarded based on enrollment hours and on the level of enrollment, financial need, and by the order in which they are received.


The following are the steps to apply for CBS scholarships:
1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (Optional)
2. Complete the CBS Financial Aid Application process. (Optional)

Institutional Aid- Mays Scholarship
Deadline for Fall 2021: June 14, 2021
Students must submit a completed application by the published deadlines to the Office of Financial Aid and meet the eligibility requirements for each scholarship. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All scholarships are awarded based on financial need and in the order in which they are received. All scholarships require a recommendation letter from your pastor or church leader. See the individual scholarships for application and eligibility requirements:

Return of Institutional Aid and Scholarships:

Institutional aid (i.e. Mays scholarships) are awarded based on financial need. If any student withdraws from the College or reduces the number of hours during the course of the term, his/her awards will be adjusted accordingly, and as a result, he/she may owe the institution. CBS does not refund institutional aid or May scholarships to students.
